2015 Member Exhibit and Open Studio
On January 30th from 6pm-8pm the Preble County Art Association will be hosting a reception at the Visual Art Center for the 2015 Member Exhibit and Open Studio. The Member exhibit features many of the PCAA members that represent a range of mediums. Artists Robert Coveney, Patty Emerson, Gary Glaser, Andrea Furby, Vicki Rader and Judy Thaxton are only a few of the participating artists.
During the exhibit reception PCAA instructors will be on hand doing demonstrations and activities in painting and pottery. This is the perfect opportunity to see what is going on at the art center before classes begin on February 2nd. This is a family friendly event that will include light fare and lots of fun.
The Visual Art Center of Preble County is operated by the Preble County Art Association, a not-for-profit arts organization that fuels creativity in the county. The Art Center hosts classes, workshops and exhibits at the center and partners with organizations and businesses to make the arts accessible. The Visual Art Center is located at 601 Hillcrest Dr., Eaton, Ohio.
Tuesday, Jan. 20 - The final walls of the structures on the corner of Barron and Decatur streets were knocked down on Monday, Jan. 18. The demolition project is part of the overall plan for Eagle's Point in Eaton.
Eaton, OH - Demolition of the vacated buildings on the northeast corner of Barron and Decatur streets in Eaton signal the beginning of the Eagle’s Point development. And, while it is easy to see how the demolition of these blighted structures will improve the view in that area, there are other positive aspects of the development that are not as obvious....
